We are investigating post-transcriptional mechanisms of gene regulation. We are pushing forward the emerging hypothesis that transcriptional and post-transcriptional machinery are functionally associated with the control of gene expression. In addition to our expertise in transcription and chromatin, these recent projects have enabled us to acquire expertise in RNA biology and analysis. Our important findings have been quickly acknowledged by the field, as demonstrated by our contribution to a recent major review in Chemical Reviews (IF 54.3) and invitations to present our data at conferences and institutions. We have also established a broad network of collaborations in the field of post-transcriptional gene regulation, including national, European, and worldwide research teams from top institutions (Curie Institute, France; Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, USA; University of Rochester, USA; Max Planck Institute Germany).
