Johan Swinnen

I am the director of Lipometrix, the KU Leuven Lipidomics Core Facility, and an active member of several task forces of international organizations, including the International Lipidomics Society and the EU COST action EpiLipidNET. I have been involved in numerous scientific committees, including Scientific Committee Med 4 (Cancer) of the Research Foundation Flanders (FWO) (2008-2013), Scientific Board of the Stichting Tegen Kanker (2013-2015). I have been the Chair of the LKI Taskforce Cancer Research, member of >40 national and international PhD committees, member of the Prize selection committee, and coordinator of the KU Leuven International Doctoral School Cancer Programme. From 2012 to 2020, I assumed leadership roles as Chair of the Department of Oncology and Vice Chair of the Leuven Cancer Institute.
